The pathology “Chronic lithiasic vesicular hydrops” has the following characteristics:
- The gallbladder is enlarged (its length is greater than 10 cm, the anterioposterior diameter is greater than 4.0 cm).
- Tonicity is normal or increased.
- Thickness of the gallbladder wall is normal: 0.1-0.3 cm.
- The gallbladder contents is abnormal.
- There are focal modifications of the gallbladder contents: lithiasis of various types.
- The diffuse modifications can be absent or present, with the aspect of echogenic millimeter, punctiform or linear images, localized declive or gravitationally, with organized mobility.
- Of all acoustic effects, the modifications sometimes can present only the posterior reverberation of static type.
- The complaints can be present or absent.
- The gallbladder obstruction can be absent or present.
- The perivesicular area is without modifications.
