The pathology “Chronic alithiasic cholecystitis” has the following characteristics:
- The gallbladder is of normal dimensions or diminished volume.
- The tonicity is normal or decreased.
- The gallbladder wall is thickened: it is greater than 0.3 cm and less than 0.9 cm.
- There are echogenic diffuse intraparietal modifications which do not present acoustic effects.
- The focal modifications of gallbladder are absent or have the sludge aspect if present.
- The diffuse modifications of gallbladder contents can be absent or present, with the aspect of millimeter, punctiform or linear echogenic images, localized declive, with organized mobility.
- Of all acoustic effects, they sometimes can present only the posterior reverberation of static type.
- The complaints are present or absent.
- The gallbladder obstruction is not present.
